Joint Mathematics Meetings

Atlanta, Georgia, January 4-7, 2017

This January thousands of mathematicians will come together at the largest annual mathematics meeting in the world: the Joint Mathematics Meetings, organized by the Mathematical Association of America and American Mathematical Society. With more than 6,500 attendees anticipated, this year's wintertime meeting will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.

The last day of JMM will feature Mathemati-Con, a day of fun and free math events open to the public, including the Judith Porter Public Lecture. This year the Porter Public Lecturer is Ingrid Daubechies, who will describe her work using mathematics to restore art masterpieces, including Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Van Eyck works of art.
