The MathResource

The MathResource Dictionary was written by Jonathan Borwein and Ephraim Borowski. The database of math terms, definitions and images was originally written and published as the Collins Dictionary of Mathematics. Jon and Eph maintained the electronic rights to the dictionary which they ceded to MathResources in 1995. Through this series of adventures MathResources is licensing The MathResource to the MathDL.

The 5,500 +/- terms covers that portion of the math curriculum normally encountered by an undergraduate in mathematics. Many of the terms have both illustrations and hyperlinks to associated terms.

This licensed version of The MathResource provides for searching only. A commercial version of The MathResource is available that provides both browsing and searching as well as computation and graphing utilizing Maple.
