Critiques--Steven Kleiman   COURSE_COMMUNITIES_HTML_ID

Topic Teaching Tip(s): Courses in which students communicate about mathematics | Undergraduate seminar | Including oral communication in math classes | Peer critique for presentations

In Steven Kleiman's Undergraduate Seminar in Computational Algebra at MIT, the students do the lecturing. This webpage discusses the success of having students write free-form critiques of each other's presentations. Included is a model critique that can be given to students on the first day of class to guide their critiques.
