Iterated Integrals    COURSE_COMMUNITIES_MAPLE_ID

Course Topic(s): Multivariable Calculus | Triple Integrals

MAPLE worksheet (used to be "package") intdraw / intdraw3d: Visually check the limits of integration. User enters the limits (rectangular, polar, cylindrical, spherical) in any order and the program draws the SLICED region. Typical uses to find which limits are incorrect -- a solid region on the screen is comparatively useless. Sample uses include instructor providing an outline (wireframe) of the solid, students fill in the sliced solid. Examples included. Main attraction: Students work until the limits are correct, but program does not give away the answers -- grading is trivial. An accompanying MapleTech article is at http://math.asu.edu/~kawski/preprints/97mapletech.pdf.
