This applet allows users to select and plot an example function or input a user-defined function. Display options include graphing the function only; function and tangent; function, derivative and tangent; function and derivative, secant and tangent, and area function. Multiple functions may be displayed. An interactive glider point on the graph is present so that the derivative at a point may be investigated. Zoom tools are provided. An option for displaying the symbolic form of the derivative is provided.
