# Average Value

Course Topic(s): One-Variable Calculus | Fundamental Theorem

User can draw a function $$f(x)$$ using a nice smoothing algorithm, then a simple slide interaction draws a rectangle whose height is given by the average value of the function from $$a$$ to $$b$$. The user can opt to show shaded net area between the curve and the $$x$$-axis, perfect for an instructor to use as a demonstration of the average value formula.
