Average Value   COURSE_COMMUNITIES_FLASH_ID

Course Topic(s): One-Variable Calculus | Fundamental Theorem

User can draw a function \(f(x)\) using a nice smoothing algorithm, then a simple slide interaction draws a rectangle whose height is given by the average value of the function from \(a\) to \(b\). The user can opt to show shaded net area between the curve and the \(x\)-axis, perfect for an instructor to use as a demonstration of the average value formula.
