The Trinomial Distribution   COURSE_COMMUNITIES_MATHEMATICA_ID

Course Topic(s): Probability | Multivariate Distributions, multinomial | Joint, Marginal, Conditional Distributions

This is an interactive applet requiring Mathematica or the Wolfram CDF player. The applet show the graph of a the trinomial distribution corresponding to \(n\) devices, each of which, independently, is either perfect, acceptable, or failed with specified probabilities. The use can vary the parameters (the number of devices \(n\), the probability that a device is perfect, and the probability that a device is acceptable) with scroll bars.
