Goal - estimate \(\pi\). Experiment shows dropping a needle on lined paper to get an estimate of \(\pi\). Links to various Math Standards are included. A statement that says "By using calculus, one can prove (as people first discovered in the eighteenth century) that the probability of a hit is \(2/\(\Pi\)" with no further explanation is given.
