What is Probability?Course Topic(s): Probability | Basic Probability, axioms | Basic Probability, basic rules This is an html page that is a part of a larger exposition on probability. This page discusses experiments, sample spaces, and events. It gives the basic axioms of probability and derives the complement rule and the inclusion-exclusion rule for two events. A bit of the history of probability is given as well as a few print references. The exposition is generally good, but the notation is poor since only html formatting is used.
