Richard Dawkins' Battle of the Sexes Model   COURSE_COMMUNITIES_MAPLE_ID

Course Topic(s): Ordinary Differential Equations | Modeling, ODE

A short article that walks the reader through the development of a model of a population of coy and fast women and faithful and philandering men. The resulting system of equations is then analyzed with Maple code provided to produce results (mainly numerical and graphical, though the one analytic result that can be written in closed form is derived). References to a 1981 "Animal Behavior" article about the model as well as to Dawkins work are provided.
