Description
This workbook calculates the necessary components to create a buffer solution. The workbook will allow the user to create a buffer in two ways. A user can select an acid and its conjugate base or select an acid or base and combine it with a strong base or strong acid. Users will input the desired pH, concentration and volume of the solution and the workbook will output a recipe for a buffer solution using the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation. Note that this workbook requires that "macros" are enabled in Microsoft Excel.
