About Classroom Capsules and Notes

Classroom Capsules takes its name from a section that has been part of The College Mathematics Journal since 1984. This on-line version includes not only articles from this section, but has been expanded to cover short notes from several MAA journals. The purpose of the capsules is to make easely available, by web search, short mathematical articles, which can give a student new mathematical insights, and instructors effective teaching strategies. The articles might represent a nice application, an unusual point of view or example, or they might give the instructor a non-standard way of presenting the topic in class.

Articles are conveniently classified in several ways: by title, author(s), subject matter, keywords, and appropriate undergraduate courses. This allows users to  find material related to topics of interest easely. The editorial board (listed separately) will continue to survey back issues of a number of journals and encapsule short articles that serve the purposes of the Classroom Capsule project. Readers wishing to suggest published articles for addition to the collection are invited to contact the editor
