MAA Reviews

Welcome to MAA Reviews, your one-stop-shop for information on mathematics books: what has been published, what is good, what the MAA recommends for library acquisition. Every week we post eight new reviews of books related to mathematics, and we list hundreds of other books. There are currently over 3,000 reviews, and more are added all the time.

One convenient way to find out about new reviews is our RSS feed. MAA Reviews are also on Twitter: follow @MAAReviews.

Our site includes "MAA Reviews", which are commissioned by the editor, and also reviews submitted by our readers. It indicates which books have been recommended for libraries to purchase by the MAA's Basic Library List Committee. Everything is interactive, and there are lots of ways you can help. Our comments function is working again, feel free to submit your own (short, please) reviews.

You can find books either by using the Quick Search facility (to the left) or by using advanced search. For the quick search, one word searches work best; use the author's name or a word in the book title as your "keyword." You can choose to restrict the book topic, but you do not need to. See tips on searching for more details of how the search engine works.

The current eight reviews were posted on February 1, 2012.
