Dating back to the 12th century, Sinagoga de Santa Maria la Blanca is the oldest and largest of Toledo's eight original synagogues. In 1391, Jews were massacred at this site which reversed the years of religious tolerance of Toledo. Inside the synagogue are beautiful stone-carved columns and white horseshoe arches. Unfortunately, we were unable to photograph the interior of this synagogue. [I]
