The Tempio Israelitico is a monumental temple of the Moorish style. The inside of the temple is richly decorated with arabesque, wood and bronze carvings, mosaics, inlaid marble floors, and stained glass windows. Unfortunately, for religious reasons, we were unable to photograph the interior of the temple. The pictures shown below are courtesy of postcards from the temple gift shop. [Ma] The photograph on the left shows the elaborate decorations inside the temple. We found that the floor tilings and wall decorations fit nicely into our project. The picture on the right shows samples of the tilings and wall designs.
